How the Free Invoice Generator works

An invoice is a dated request for payment that lists who owes what, for which work, and by when. A complete invoice includes your business details, the client's details, a unique invoice number, an issue and due date, itemized line items with quantities and rates, any tax, and the total due. This generator builds one from a simple form — fill it in, watch the live preview, and download a PDF or print it. Everything stays in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

  1. Enter your business and client details

Add your business name, contact info, and an optional logo, then the client you're billing. These become the From/Bill-to header of the invoice.

  2. Number and date the invoice

Give it a unique invoice number and set the issue date and payment terms (e.g. Net 15). The due date is worked out for you.

  3. Add line items

List each item of work or material with a description, quantity, and rate. The tool extends and subtotals them, applies your tax rate, and shows the total due.

  4. Download or print

Use Save as PDF or Print to produce a clean document you can email or hand over. Your draft is remembered on this device so you can come back to it.

Frequently asked questions

Is this invoice generator really free?
Yes. You can create, preview, download, and print unlimited invoices for free, with no account. It runs entirely in your browser — none of your invoice data is sent to or stored on our servers.
What should an invoice include?
The word 'Invoice', a unique invoice number, your business name and contact details, the client's details, the issue date and due date (or payment terms), itemized line items with quantities and rates, any tax, and the total amount due. A payment-instructions or notes line is helpful too.
How do I send the invoice after I make it?
Download it as a PDF and attach it to an email to your client, or print it and hand it over. Because the file is generated on your device, you send it yourself through your own email or messaging.
Can I add my logo and tax?
Yes. You can upload a logo that appears in the invoice header, and set a tax rate that's applied to the subtotal. You can also add a notes or payment-terms line at the bottom.

Invoicing is one corner of FieldMark — project management, time tracking, and getting paid, built for construction and service crews. It works on the truck, in the trench, and back at the office — online or off.
